Awards |
Just as in the field of arts, where a nomination for a high-level award, like an Oscar, is considered an honor in and of itself; there are certain awards in the fields of science and education, even a nomination for which can be considered a high honor. As a case in point, in addition to all awards listed below, Dr. Aleinikov was nominated by Troy University for the nation's highest scientific honor - the U.S. President's National Medal of Science (NSF, 2003-2006) - for the introduction of new sciences as new horizons of scientific research. Also, for his outstanding educational achievements and the development of a new branch of education, Dr. Aleinikov was nominated for the U.S. Professor of the Year Award (CASE, 2001) and for the Robert Foster Cherry Great Teaching Award (Baylor University, 2001 and 2003) – twice.
